Hill’s Hangover

I look forward to this show every year. The KVET Texas Music Series at Hill’s Cafe in Austin. We got rained out last year, so the boys were pumped to be back at Hill’s. The weather was beautiful and the crowd was great, as you can see. Ron Flynt joined us on keys and the young and mighty Bobby Duncan jumped up to add his voice to Walt’s song “Poetry”. We were having so much fun that we decided to keep the party going for a bit at my favorite close to home pub, Opal Divine’s, where a couple of pints of pecan porter, a fine Fuente 858 and much camaraderie and conversation led to a rather slow and painful morning for me. All I can say is it ain’t like it used to be….  I’m definitely getting older and going out with the young kids (yes I was the oldest at the table) can hurt! Even though I’m not exactly tip top this morning, it was a fun night and a great show. Thanks everyone for coming out and tuning in on the radio.
